His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a master's degree in Parasitology at Columbia University, following which he earned his Doctorate in Medicine from The University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Following his education, Dr. Carpentieri completed an internship and fellowship at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., further solidifying his expertise as an ophthalmologist. In 1960, he took a significant step by opening the first eye clinic in Belize for the U.S. Government. This innovative move not only demonstrated his commitment to eye care in underserved regions but also laid the groundwork for future medical advancements in the area.


Dr. Carpentieri's career was distinguished not just by his clinical skills but also by his engagement in sports medicine. He served as a physician for various teams, including the Hartford Whalers and the New York Rangers, bringing his expertise to the exciting world of sports.
